I feel like cursing, so instead of doing it, I'll leave a blank and you all can fill it in for me, k.
wow, thats creative. i dont know why you would post such an offensive comment unless you're being convicted by the holy spirit, so i sugest listening to it (its usually right!)
i agree to an extent. the cursing coming from a christian is hypocritical, and i will not deny that. the problem is that so many of those who are going out and speaking so loudly against hypocrites can be hypocrites themselves. cursing is not the only way to be a hypocrite. please consider that before you fly off the handle again and make it sound as though cursing is the only way to be hypocritical.
i say this out of love for you as a sibling in Christ

i have to agree with the Sarah Chick.. i dont even know any of u.. but i would warn u to be careful who u judge and what u say.. christians are supposed to be loving and share the love of God.. and be forgiving.. "everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" EVERYONE sins every day! i'm sorry but its the truth, christians and sinners alike sin at least once a day! maybe not the obvious sins of cursing, smoking, drinking, or sex... how about gluttony, lust, greed, impure thoughts, gossip, shall i go on? i can make a longer list.. "so judge not lest ye be judged"
im glad you got what i meant by that. :)
I dont see how it sounded bad. Nor am i judging anyone. Am i the one that tells these people whether they go to heaven or not, no. But these "christians" claim God. And yet act nothing like what the bible wants them to act like. I realize all sin, fully. But the difference is, who repents, and still goes after God. David the king messed up a lot, but God never called him a hypocrit. Because he repented, and tried for God. We are supposed to keep each other accountable, and if i let them run around destroying the name of Jesus, then i carry blood on my hands, and it wont happen. Im not mad at your post, i think peolple just need to be a little more observant on what judging is. For example, if you walk in on your friend having sex and she isnt married to this person. (or something like that), is it wrong for you to say she was having sex. No, but if you do is it judging, no. I do not condemn, only warn them. I love all those who do so, and i say this so that the hand of judement will not be poured out on them. Just cause we are imperfect, does not mean we should strive for it. And I refuse to believe the excuse we sin everyday. Cause that is just an excuse to sin. Always strive for perfection.
Out of love i say all. Please do not be offended.
well, yea we all sin, but when people go say, dont cuss, then go off and cuss themselves--that is being a hypocrocrite. thats what it is, saying somethings bad, then going out and doing it. people need to refine their deffinition of hypocrite. and i think who travie was talking about, was a christian. i respect travie for talking to the person so he wont fall farther away from God, and ruin the name of christians more than it already is.
Jesus said, "If you love me, obey my commandments." He also tells us not to remain like the world around us who do not believe. I think what Travis was rebuking is the idea that modern day "Christians" have that there is no change required by the Lord they claim.
Jesus and all of the prophets and apostles preached one gospel - repent for the kingdom is near (judgement is coming) - Jesus paid the price to forgive you sins so you can repent.
None of them preached that you can simply believe in Jesus and be forgiven. Repentance is a prerequisite of being cleansed from sin in the eyes of God.
Using foul or perverse language is a violation of the commandments of God. However, not all modern "cuss" or "curse" words are actually fowl or perverse, depending on usage. For example, damn is not fowl unlessed used to curse someone - as in damning them. Ass is not fowl or perverse either, as long as you are talking about a donkey - and it really isn't fowl or perverse if talking about a certain anatomical member of the human body. However, calling someone an a-hole is a "curse."
I agree with the post concerning gossip and such. We all mess up in our speech and need to work on our own log in the eye. However, I also agree with Travis 100% - "Christians" stop sinning and stop giving the name of Christ a bad reputation - you will be judged for it.
